Allies 2 years old!

Allies pancake breakfast! She loved trying to blow out her candles. We still had to help get them out- she just kinda squelled instead of blew. Notice the snow outside.
We had to make her a sunshine cake- because she has rally been our little sunshine these last two years! Man has it gone fast!

We're Thankful For...

The Boy end of the table.
The Girl end of the table
Sorry Allies sideways- but here she is making her turkey!!

We had a fun Thanksgiving this year with some friends in our ward here in Lincoln. We are so glad that even when we don't have family around, we have such good friends to be with!

What a difference a day makes...

On Monday it was 78'. On Wednesday it looked like this in our back yard. We had to dig out winter boxes so the kids could play outside- it was pretty cold!
D. made it about 15 minutes before he was too cold, but the girls stayed out forever!
Remember our backyard pic a few months back? We ended up getting maybe 2 inches, but the roads stayed clear. So we'll have a white Thanksgiving- high of 35'! Last year we were swimming in Phoenix!

Ouch!

I just wanted to put a pic in here from my exciting week. Monday morning as I was trying to do TOO many things at once, I kicked the corner of the couch. (Yes- by accident, Quinn already asked if I meant to.) I didn't have time to look at it- I was off to Kindermusik with Allie, so I limped through that class then used my left foot to drive home. By Monday night it was SUPER big and black and blue and red and purple. Anyways- the next morning the swelling had gone down so I took a picture. We have two foot Dr's in our ward- I spoke to one this morning and he said anytime a toe bruises up that much its broken, but if it's stayed in place you just let it heal. So maybe I have broken a bone once in my life- check that off my list.

Fall is here!

The kids loved when the leaves started falling on this big tree in our backyard. They would rake big piles to jump in! What fun- our tree in vegas stayed green all year!

16 weeks

Allie went with me to the Dr. today, I am 16 weeks. I actually thought I was farther along and kinda hoping since my clothes don't fit anymore. Ive been wearing Quinns pants the last couple of days. My next appt. is set for Dec. 5th and we will have our ultra sound then. We are excited to see what we're having!!!

THE COSTUMES

Allie loved saying MOO and was very good at saying trick or treat! Dylan had lots of muscles to carry the goodies with.
Makayla thought it was fun to make her bikini top modest by wearing a shirt under it! We had to layer anyways- it was getting chilly as the night went on. She is also modeling some jewels from the great state of Hawaii.

Happy Halloween!

We survived another year of halloween fun. We kept busy with parties at the kids school, then trick or treating at dads school, then a trunk or treat at the church- then dad took the big kids around the block too. Now, what do we do with all this candy?

Here we are by Dr Quinn Drapers station at UNMC's orthodontic clinic. The kids were able to come get goodies at the school- and only came home with one tube of toothpaste!
