Easter Weekend

The Easter bunny was at our neighborhood egg hunt! It was snowing a litte, but not too cold at all. We actually walked over.
The egg hunt in the backyard was a lot colder!

We had a fun Easter weekend, and with the kids being on Spring Break this week, this is the first chance I have had to post pictures of it on the blog! Saturday morning we went to a neighborhood egg hunt and the kids had a great time. I was very impressed at how well it was run, and how nice people there were. Quinn says people are just like that in the mid west.

Then that evening we had some friends over for dinner and another egg hunt out back. It wasn't too cold in the morning, but by night time it was freezing again! So the kids looked quickly then we went back inside.

Easter morning the kids found some more goodies left from the easter bunny. Does anyone need some candy?!

The Circus is in town

We have a nice neighbor who is a Shriner. The Shrine Circus is in town and he gave us some great tickets to the show. The kids thought it was lots of fun- and were VERY amused at the elephants who go to the bathroom during the show and the guys who follow them around with trashcans trying to catch it. That really was amusing- and stinky.

Moms painting job...

To get ready for this new little boy, I thought it would be a good idea to move Dylan from the bunkbed room, and into the room with the twin bed and crib- then I could paint his room for the girls. Sounded easy enough- but it turned out to be an all weekend affair, which is not completly done yet. I still have to switch out the closets! Heres some pics of my weekend:

Quinn moved the bunkbeds into the middle of the room so I could paint around them. This it what Dylans room looked like before- with the stripes on the walls.
This was getting ready to move the girls out to the other room.
I do not like primer. It takes forever- and when youre done you still have to paint the room!!! But I knew the light purple would not go over the stripes very well- so heres the walls white.
We put some sports stickers on the wall of the boys room- they look really good and much easier thatn paint- Yea for WalMarts clearance items mom finds!
The princess room- all painted and the new comforters on. Another clearance find for mom- what a deal I found at Target!!!

So far Allie liked to sleep in her big girl bed, but she loves to climb up to sissys bunk and play with her too! Luckily, Sis likes to share!

Dr. Seuss Day at school

Today the kids are celebrating Dr. Seuss at school and they were asked to bring a hat and Dr. Seuss book. They get to wear their hats and read their books in the afternoon. I don't know why, but my kids picked these crazy hats?! I don't know where they get it from- must be their dad. ;) They were excited to bring them and we actually saw a few crazy hats as I was dropping them off this morning at school.

P.S. about the roller skating. I did roller skate with the kids at the skate night, but got so many crazy comments about how crazy I was, so it didn't last long! I thought it would be easier to skate with Allie, but eventually she thought it was fun to fall down, like the kids she saw so I got tired of pulling her up! So for the lessons, I just walked around with her in my shoes!

7 weeks to go..

I realized I haven't taken any of these"pregnant pictures" with this baby, and I've taken them with all of the other kids. So this morning Makayla took a picture of my belly. Seven more weeks, and so much to do!

Spring on March 1st???

It was such a nice day on Saturday- we loved it!! Now its Sunday and it is snowing and raining outside again, so Im glad we played outside most of the day saturday. Quinn worked a lot in the backyard- and it looks great. The kids pulled out the bikes and enjoyed the sun!

The Roller Skaters

Skates are on and we're ready to go!
Makayla was doing all sorts of tricks on her skates.
Dylan concentrating hard!
Allie didn't even want to hold my hand!

The kids school had a skate night last week, but I forgot my camera. I took them again on saturday because they offer a skating class, and the kids thought it would be fun. They actually did really good!
