Music Class

Allie has started a little Music Mania class every Monday and she has had a lot of fun. She is so big! She just says "by mom, I'm going to my class" last Monday I stayed in to get some pictures. It was Old McDonald day. They colored animals at a farm, sang with puppets and acted like animals!

Here they are being monkeys jumping on the bed. Who new packing material could be so much fun?!

She has a couple more weeks this session, then I think she will do it again! Then maybe it will warm up and we can play outside more!

WOW

The weather has been so nice the last couple of days, so I pulled out the jogger to pick up kids from school. As I was loading them up it brought back memories of a few years back...... WOW
My kids are growing too fast! I think this pictures was in the summer of 2002, just before Dylan turned 1, close to the same age my younger two are now. Funny thing- I noticed Makaylas hair had been braided and curled, and the kids are all tightly buckled in. Now look back at Allie and Lance- Allies hairs been brushed and put in a quick pony, and no need to take the time to buckle- we've got to get to the school to get two more kids- funny how life changes.
I am sure lucky to have such great kids!

Happy Valentines Day

We had a nice long valentines weekend here. It started with a snow day on friday. School was cancelled Thursday night, and when we woke up there was still no snow. By about 8:30 the snow started and it didn't stop until about 3:00 that afternoon. We got quite a bit of wet snow.
The kids played with friends all day then we watched our friends kids that night, so they could go out to eat. Then they watched our kids Sat. night so Quinn and I could go out to dinner! Me and my valentine!
The kids had a blast playing together. At our house they used food coloring pens to write on valentine cookies- that was so fun. Then there was no school monday so we had another play all day day!

Happy Birthday Makayla

I really can't believe it was 10 years ago we were having our first baby. I was SO nervous and didn't know what to expect. When she was born she let out a loud squawk then just looked all around the room with her big blue eyes. We didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl, so all the nurses and my parents were all excited when she came. She was a happy baby from day one, and the last 10 years have filled my life with so much happiness. She has a special calling as the big sister in our family and I know I couldn't make it without her. I am always impressed by her talents and thoughtfulness and patience. We are so happy you're in our family sis! I figured 10 is a big year, so we needed to have a big party. I haven been planning this for a while, and it really turned out great. I told her we would have a party the Friday after her birthday, so she helped me with the invite list and games she wanted. Then on her bday she went to a friends who was going to meet us for dinner. This is what she found when she got there!:
Makayla even helped me make the cupcakes. I told her they were for after dinner, and she said she wanted to make flowers like these for her real cake for her party. (I just smiled and said -no problem- we'll do that Friday)

This picture is priceless. She was OVERWHELMED! Notice all the kids in the back that were just as surprised! On the way home she said- "mom- Im glad I had a surprise party- I have always wanted one!" Happy Birthday to you Makayla!
Now we get to have our family party with dad tonight, since he had to be at class until 8:30 last night. Who says school isn't work?

Party Pictures

These friends of Makaylas were awesome! They knew about the party for a week and never let Makayla know! Here they are hiding waiting for the birthday girl! Surprise!

Some fun party pictures.

This is my cute friend Tanya holding both of our boys. I could not have done this surprise party without her! She kept it a secret from her kids so they wouldn't slip and say something, and brought Makayla and Dylan to the pizza place without them figuring anything out! Then- with both of our husbands at school, she helped me out all night. Thank you Tanya! It really was a fun party.

Happy February

This year is already going fast and we have SO much to look forward to! Makayla is going to turn 10! YIKES- and Dylan is going to get baptized this summer. Our Lancey is going to turn one and Allie is going to start preschool. These kids get big too quick.

Quinns even growing up fast too! Hes going to be all done with school this year. He is so excited- and we are WAY proud of him. He has worked so hard for so long- let the countdown begin!

This looks to be a big year for the QnA Drapers as we will be moving (don't ask us where- when we know- you'll know) and working.

We have been so blessed and are looking forward to many great things ahead! I'll get some pictures up from Makaylas big bday soon.
