On the first day of school, I came home and put Lance down and he decided to start rolling over! He wanted to be a big kid too! He has had a blast finding his feet and giggling at his toes. He is pretty fun to play with. We are working on sitting up because he sure wants to do that- and at his four month appt. he was almost 17 lbs! I have to remember to watch him and can't leave him on my bed or he may roll right off now!

Take me out to the ballgame!
Last week the weather was great and dad was home early, so we decided to go to the ball game. Makayla and Dylan love it- Allie and Lance got tired pretty quickly. It was actually a great game as our team won in the last inning!
Allie was going down to take a picture with HOMER, but tripped on the step, and decided to come back up to mom. Then for the next ten minutes she kept asking where Homer was and was following him with her eyes all around the park.
From our seats we could look out at the amazing Husker stadium! Its pretty awesome!
When we first got there Lance did not like the loud announcer or the song and cheers, but slowly got used to the noise and even got put up on the big screen at the game!
It was 1$ hot dog night, so we ate dinner there! Yummy red hot dogs for Nebraska!
Tonight Dylan and Quinn are going back with some friends as tomorrows their last game of the season!

Our Garden
Quinn worked really hard to get our garden plot ready, and the kids love to go out and see what they can pick! We have had some peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes and peas so far!
We have to keep a fence around the garden to keep the bunnies out! They are cute to look at but we don't like them eating our food!
Quinn checking it out, and the kids bringing in more yummy things to eat!

Haircuts!
Part of getting ready for school means the kids need haircuts! Makayla decided to take off 4 inches! I can't believe we took off that much and she still has long hair. She had a few layers put in so her hair looks thicker too.

Dylan wanted to be bald, but we didn't go quite that short on him: Before...

Allie got a cut too, but hers didn't look too different, just a trim she really thought was fun.

Summer days, drifting away...
We have had lots of fun this summer and have found many ways to keep busy.
There is rarely a morning when we don't have something fun we can go do!
There is a family in our ward that invites some friends over every wednesday to swim in their pool- we have been there every wednesday that we've been in town!

We have another friend who also invited us to their pool lots of times, so we have been swimming at least 2-3 times a week. It has been so great, because I can just let Lance chill by the pool while I swim with the kids. Makayla and Dylan have become quite the fish, and Allie likes to use a floatie and swim "all by myself!"
On the mornings we didn't have to be anywhere- we took advantage of the free bowling at the bowling lanes! We just walk in between 9 and noon , and the kids get free shoes and a game of bowling!
Makaylas too old to get bumpers, but shes does pretty good without them!
We have had lots of fun around town this summer , and can't believe we only have a week left!
