Dylans 8th Bday

This has been a fun busy week- we celebrated Dylans 8th birthday. 8 is a special birthday because Dylan now has made the choice to be baptized. We will do that next week !
Dylan has had his own personality from the minute he was born. He is very determined and works hard at everything he does. We are so glad he's a part of our family- we love you our big 8 year old Dylan-dude! At first he thought this bike was too big- but it only took one trip around the block and he's got it figured out!
8 year old Dylan!
Let the Party begin!

Dylan invited some boys from school over for a backyard party.
He wanted to play soccer and have a pinata.
And a water balloon toss.
These boys did great playing soccer!

Taking a break for some pizza!

Pinata time! Dylan is so into money- he thought this pinata should have been full of it!

Opening presents!

It was a fun party. A little difference between boys and girls- boys did not want to play any game that required sitting still! They kept moving the entire time. I'm glad it stopped raining in time for the party- or we may have gone crazy.
Happy birthday Dylan we love you!

Strawberry Picking

We went to Roca Berry Farm again this year to pick strawberries- and this year I had my camera. The weather was nice and we picked about 17lbs of berries and ate maybe a half a pound while we picked!
It only took Lance a few minutes to figure out what those red things were on the bushes- he loves them!

Mom and Lance trying to not get too sticky! Allie kept wandering looking for the perfect ones!

Makayla was a great picker too! Yummy!

Cute kids with red faces and shoes!

Quinn was the master picker- hes is fast and only picks the good ones! What a fun day. We came home and got three bags in the freezer- and three batches of freezer jam made. Now to make a pie!!

All 4 Kids in Swim Lessons

I was able to get all 4 kids signed up for 4 different swim classes all at the same time. We go every Tuesday and Thursday evenings- and it is lots of fun but lots of work too- to get all four of them in and out of the pool, showered off and changed and back home- it makes for quite a busy evening. But we are having fun- last week dad came and watched and took pictures and swam with us too! Makayla still plugging her nose!
Allis ready to jump right in! She loved the water- her teacher get soaked when she asks allie to kick!

I thought the water was pretty cold, but Lance loves it!

Ready to swim- its a nice indoor pool- it has been to chilly to use the outdoor one yet.
Allies class- she tried wearing goggles, that didn't last long.

Thats Makayla under there!

Dylans best buddy is in his class too!

This summer is going to fast already!

Its baseball time

Well in Quinns favorite time of year- baseball season. This year Dylan is playing coach pitch again but we went through the YMCA. The first game went really well- Dylan got on base both times he was up and caught one pop fly and threw another guy out at first. Pretty exciting! The guys in the dugout with coach. This league only gives shirts, so all the hats and pants don't match- I thought that was pretty funny.
Dylan keeps his eye on the ball!

Allie and Lance cheering him on!

Quinn was the third base coach- heres Dylan ready to score!

The Nebraska football coach was watching his daughter play on the field next to us, so we had the girls go sit on the bench for a 'picture'. We're ready for a fun baseball summer!

The Last Day of School

These pictures got in here backwards,
But here is Allie and Lance on the First day of school... And here they are on the last day of school! Man, they grow up too fast!

Here are the big kids just a few months ago...going to their first day of school! And here they are now...on the LAST day of 2nd and 4th grades! Where has this year gone?

I was going to have them wear the same shirts they did on the first day- but Makaylas has actually gotten too small! And Allie didn't want to get dressed this morning, so shes still in jammies for the picture!

Field Day

The kids are done with another year of school! We went and watched the kids play at field day- the weather was great and we had a lot of fun. Allie wanted pictures of her too! I got to the park/playground and walked around for 15 minutes until I found my kids! They had it very well organized and split into lots of small groups. Luckily both of my kids were close together.

One station was chalk- Dylan and his friends played tic-tac-toe. Allie found friends to color with too. Lance was happy in the stroller chewing on his toothbrush. Those molars are coming in!

This was the Tae Kwan Do station.

There were some fun water stations too.

Lance stayed very happy.

One of Dylans favorite teachers this year was Mrs Ekstrom!

One of Makaylas favorite teachers was Mr. Bennett!
