Soccer Season has begun!

Fall is here, and so another soccer season has begun.
Dylan is now on a bigger field, with bigger goals.  He is on a great team with a great coach.  He has them work really hard at practice, and do lots of running.  Friday night before their first game, the boys went to his house for a spaghetti dinner.  First, they had to run around the block three times.  Then after dinner they watched a soccer game.
Then Dylan had to research a professional soccer player with his number.  He is really enjoying this season.
Game #1- look at that sunshine.  Game #2 was dry- I'm hoping we get a few more dry games this season!
Here's Dylan warming up with his team."FIRE"

Dylan is #7
He went in to shoot a goal, and got tackled by this big guy. That's OK because he scored!
Game #2 he found his sweet spot.  He played right side, and he powered that ball into the goal! Twice.
He's having a great season so far.

Oh how my days go by....

With my big kids off to school, I seem to find many new ways to keep busy.
One afternoon I walked Allie and Lance to the barn park to play.  After a few minutes Allie tripped on a metal stair and landed head first on the next step.  Her head quickly grew a giant egg, so I carried her, and scurried Lance back home.  The next day we went to can peaches with some Draper family, and Allie was hit on the other side of her head with a pool stick.  Another egg on her head.  After a day everything turned purple and it looked like I had signed her up for boxing!
Yep- these little ones keep me busy!
Even if it looks like I don't watch them.

After doing the peaches,
I came home to clean up the kitchen and was starting some dinner.  Then I looked outside and saw my little guy off to pick blackberries all by himself.  Hmmmm..
He climbed up and over all by himself.
Somehow we make it to another day!

Off to Preschool

Allie May is doing preschool with some friends from church this year.
There are 5 kids and each month she is at a different moms house.  She was very excited to be off on her first day.  I told her I wanted a picture of her and she replied, "Should I pose?"
"sure" I said-
and that's it- there she is in her first day of preschool pose.
I love this little Allie May.  She is such a fun big sister to Lance.  I'm not sure what he'll do next year when she goes to school with my big kids!
Allie likes to hold her own against her big brother when he tries to tease her.  And I can see lots of Makayla in her.  She is a big helper and a good leader.
Next month her preschool friends come to our place- that will be lots of fun!

Labor Day at the Funny Farm

For Labor Day we woke up and went to Grandpa Drapers for breakfast on his new grill.  WE met all the cousins and had yummy pancakes, bacon , hash browns and eggs.
After breakfast we went to Aunt TeriLe and Uncle Robs place to eat lunch and play with the animals!
They moved to LaCenter- which is not far from us and we were glad for a nice sunny day to visit and play.

After lunch we went to see the new goats and feed some chickens.
Oh, and Bren and Garrett had this new toy Quinn wanted to play with:
Try and find the girls in this pic:
This is behind their house under the look-out. Its pretty steep
We had a fun visit and then went and had dinner at the Hadfield place.
We tried to pack in the last official day of summer with lots of fun.

Another Summer...

Whenever summer comes to an end I get a little sad.  I love the warm weather, and the chance we have to spend so much time together.  It seems like every morning in the summer we can just pick something fun to do!  Then I soon realize how fast time goes, and my kids are starting another school year.
For family night before school, we sat around the table and talked about all the fun things we did this summer.  Then dad gave the kids a fathers blessing before another school year.
They get big so fast.

Lance said he liked blackberries.  'Yak-Yerries"

This year Allie is doing a preschool group with mom, and a music class with some moms and friends and she will be going to dance once a week.  She will have a fun year, and next year she will be in kindergarten!
This summer she said she liked the beach, blackberries, playing at reunion in Idaho, the beach house, the sun and going on the boat!
Dylan is going into 4th grade!
He said this summer he liked water- skiing, knee boarding, selling rocks and blackberries, fireworks, airsoft wars, cub camp and cousins.  He became quite the salesman this summer.  He spent many days selling blackberries, rocks, cookies or lemonade at stand in the neighborhood.  He made some good money too!

Makayla is going to 6th grade.
At Union Ridge Elementary- the 6th graders are at the elementary school, so she hasn't had to move schools yet.  The middle school has 7th&8th, but she trying to get me to homeschool her next year.
Makayla loved cousin sleepovers, boating, swimming- she passed off the butterfly at swim lessons- kayaking in california, seeing grandparents, activity day camp and grandpas house.
And there goes the summer-

Allie told me the other day,
"Mom, Target has halloween things out- WE should get out our Halloween things!"
Time to start thinking about Halloween costumes- until another summer.
