Nebraska Trip- Day 1

If you could go on vacation, where would you go?

For mom and Makayla- that was an easy choice:

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA!

Dad stayed home for his long weekend with the other kids and Makayla and I flew for a quick trip to our old hometown.  Our first stop was in Omaha to see our friend Anna, who's boy happened to be in the hospital sick.  I think he planned it just so they could stay in town to see us.  They were supposed to be in Texas this weekend.  He was all better and they left for Texas the day after we left-Thanks Isaac!  We're glad you're all better!

Then, on down to Lincoln passing by our favorite and very missed YMCA:

Then we stopped at our favorite Lost in Fun, where we had spent many fun hours, and celebrated many birthdays.  I wished all my kiddos could have been there with us!

It was Liahona Mathisons bday- and Megan Rasmussen's bday too.  Fun to see some old friends!  Its amazing how big kids get in just a few months!

Then we had to drive by our old house and see if Quinn's flowers were blooming after a long cold winter.  It was fun to knock on some neighbors doors to say hello.

It was nice to see a big red 'N' on our old door.

The weather was BEAUTIFUL!  We were able to wear shorts and capris!  We stayed the first night at the Mathisons and stayed up catching firefly's in the fields behind their house.  I miss the firefly's.

Makayla had so much fun with these Nebraska cousins.  We're glad they are heading out here to Washington so we can see them more.

We spent the first night at their house so we could wake up and sing to Liahona and go to church with them in our old ward!
