Sunday night we moved over to the Butters bed and breakfast.
They really should charge more- with the mints by your bed an everything!
We had a fun BBQ with good ol Nebraska corn on the cob too. Did I mention how nice it was to sit outside and watch fire flys? There is just a sweet smell in Lincoln, I just loved being outside there.
Here's the fun group in the morning at the Butters breakfast bar:
Then while the Butters had some things to do in the morning, Makayla and I did some serious Husker shopping. We got new husker shirts for everyone back home, some Nebraska chocolates, and new Nebraska licence plate frames. Then we went back and grabbed the Mathison girls for a trip back to the ponds where we'd go feed ducks and fish. After we moved away Liahona figured out how to catch the fish with a butterfly net, and Makayla had to try it.
Throw in some bread and when those catfish come up for it, scoop them up. Makayla got four at once!
Don't let those clouds fool you- it was so nice outside! The humidity was low and it was beautiful!
Then Makayla and I had to drive thru Runza, just because we don't have those anymore!
Then Rebecca had invited all of Makaylas friends from school over for a little get together at her house. Makayla was SO excited to see her friends again.
Jessica had made a cute pan of brownies that said, "Welcome Back Makayla. Then as some of the letters were eaten, it soon changed to this:
These girls were so fun together! Makayla has a lot of email buddies now.
Then after we were sugared out from this party, we walked down to the park in the evening to run off some energy. Cripple Creek park was such a fun park to walk to. Our first summer there I'd walk down with the kids and play. Then we'd go explore around their new school. Lance and Allie loved to go play there around recess time so we could watch for Makayla and Dylan to be out on their playground.
